Because we live and work in the Tampa Bay area, our floors face unique challenges like sand, humidity, and high traffic. Follow this professional guide to keep your floors looking showroom-ready.

• Acclimation is Key: If we are installing natural wood, ensure your AC is running at normal living conditions.
• Let it Set: For glue-down installations (like those in our preschool and pet resort projects), avoid heavy rolling loads or furniture dragging for the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to bond perfectly.
• Breathe: Avoid covering your new floors with plastic or non-breathable rugs immediately after installation.

• Stop Sand at the Door: In Florida, sand acts like sandpaper on your finish. Use high-quality walk-off mats at every entrance.
• Dust Mop Regularly: Use a microfiber mop or a vacuum with the beater bar turned off to remove abrasive grit.
• Clean Spills Fast: While our Parkay XPL Organics and glue-down vinyls are 100% waterproof, standing water should still be wiped up promptly to prevent slip hazards and maintain the "Gold Standard" shine.

• No Steam Mops: Steam can force moisture into joints and compromise even the best adhesives.
• No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid ammonia, bleach, or "mop and shine" products that leave a waxy buildup.
